metallic glaze

Does anyone have a recipe for a cone 5 metallic glaze? First choice would be
a bright gold. But I'm also interested in a bronze or gunmetal. Currently I'm
using a commercial glaze to get this effect and would like to be more self
reliant. Also I sometimes find that on my bottom shelf the commercial glaze
will pinhole while on other shelves its normal. (I use a 7 cubic foot
electric kiln). Would heating too slow or heating too fast be causing this
problem? Does rate of cool down (which I understand affects glaze color) also
impact pinholing?
