Jennifer- I just mixed up 25 lbs of this glaze since the tests on small
clay tiles and a small bowel were excellent. I use B mix ^5 clay and fire
a Skutt electric kiln to ^5-6-This recipe came from this list but I cannot
find the original email message to credit the originator.
Absolutely Clear^6 Electric
40 soda feldspar
30 Gerstly Borate
20 Ball Clay
10 Flint
Here is another one that I took off the list awhile ago just in case the
first does not work out with your clay body.
Patti's Crystal Clear ^5-7
10.5 Gerstley Borate
4.0 Whiting
15.0 Neph Sy
5.0 Kaolin
15.5 Flint

Here's a couple of good ones:
G-1214-M Cone 6 Gloss (Tony Hansen)
20 Custer Feldspar
20 Wollastonite
20 Flint
20 EPK
20 Ferro Frit 3134

A very clear gloss base. Use caution when adding oxides that also have
fluxing action as it can get runny.
A variation of the above from Ron Roy:
41 Nepheline syenite
17 Gerstley borate
13 Ferro Frit 3134
18 Flint
11 EPK

100 %
