color response of a good majolica glaze

I am very happy with this new white glaze. At ^04 it behaved beautifully,
not moving at all and with no pinholing. But I am not satisfied with the
way my cobalt/iron wash worked with it, not quite as bright as I
would like, not
as bright as it is with my 3195 clear glaze, for instance. Looked in Hamer
and that made me wonder if maybe a bit of zinc wouldn't be a good idea.
I am assuming that the opacifiers are the problem but less seems to not
make a good white.

Any thoughts? I would be very happy if some other people would try this
glaze and let me know how it behaves for them.

PS: Hamer says not to use quite so much tin.
