Hi,

Thank you to all who sent me advice on my last posting concerning "wrist
pains."

For all Clayarters, I have a different question this time.

I may have the opportunity (a scholarship) to spend a year in Taiwan to
perform some kind of "ceramics project." The issue at hand is to decide
what the "ceramics project" will be. I am *not* looking for a chance to
conduct a formal study at a university or do academic research, but for
experience and first-hand exposure to something unique to ceramics that
one can only gain by being in Taiwan.

I realize that I am being vague, but that's where I hope you can help. I
would like to compile a list references would help narrow the focus. Any
of the following would be much appreciated:

- written works (books, journals, etc..) on the history/development of
ceramics in Taiwan

- names of people I could contact who have specialized interests in this
area.

- recommendations on what you think would be an interesting project theme

- limitations, practical advice that I should take into account in
drafting the details of the project (eg, would it be possible for a
college graduate to find an apprenticeship?).

- any other general comments/suggestions to this message.

Thanks,
Susan
