Hey all,
I'm new to firing on my own, so I bought a book. Mastering cone 6 glazes. I watched the reel from lecture about it and was sold on learning more. I was excited. I was getting a book that would give me recipes, tell me temp and schedule and show me pics on beautiful glazes. poof I am putting out beautiful pots.
I was so mad when I opened it up!!! Ugh Chemistry? Can't duplicate? Omg. I began to read it anyway why not I paid for it!!!!!
To my amazement it was written for the novice like me! I was beginning to understand glaze, and the hows and whys. Beginning to understand formulas, and why I need to learn unity formulas. It made me want to learn more! Sometimes, rereading to absorb it thoroughly.
Again I have realized that there is no easy way out. I need to learn.
Thank you boys for giving me what I need instead of what I wanted!!!! Great job.
Now I can understand (some) of all the posts about glazing!!
