We used to set a warped record out in the sun on a flat surface to
straighten it . Take it in at night after it cools off.

Someone had mentioned to me some time ago to take the bats, pile them up
with right side facing down. Place a large 5 gallon bucket filled iwth
water or stones or something very heavy on top of them. This should be
done outside in the heat of the sun and left for days, then flip them
all over and do it again on the other side.

I tried it last summer in August when it was mighty hot and it worked.
I left them out in the sun and rain for 7 days on each side. I now have
6 that are warped to try this summer and fix. Hope this helps.

Two pieces of heavy plate glass with the record between and sitting
in the sun. Bring it in after awhile and leave the stack to cool down
before removing the record. May take more heat to do Plastibats. YMMV.

Scott,

I used to use the CI bats a lot. Same problem, the things would warp a
bit. Not to bad, but enough to be aggravating. I gave them up and went
to plaster bats made in the Pure and Simple Bat system. No more warping.
Love those plaster bats.
