If you live in the state of Maine and have any influence with a
college, art center, or potter's group, I may have a deal for you.
For many years, I have been working toward a lifetime goal of
teaching in all 50 states. I'm up to 43. One of the ways I get
myself to states I have not yet taught in is, whenever I have enough
airline miles for a free ticket, I offer it to some place that might
be able to afford my fee, but not the travel money. Well, I have
enough Alaska Airline miles now, and they fly to both Portland and
Bangor. I've offered this deal to Haystack, Portland Pottery, and
Maine College of Art, and they were not interested. So I'm offering
it to any Clayart people who can organize a workshop for me.
I teach workshops in tile making, glaze chemistry, and china
painting. For more details on my workshops, you can go to my web

For anyone thinking about having Paul come to do a workshop in Maine, =
I'd like to give him an unsolicited A+ rating. Anytime he's giving a =
workshop near me, or where I could attend, I'd definitely go. He gives a =
clear, accessible presentation, one that appeals to experienced as well =
as inexperienced clay people.=20
Plus, now that his book on China Painting has been released for a while, =
he'll have a greater name recognition, making it easier to people to =
want to attend his workshops.
