Steinbeck wrote a great book, `travels with charlie`...and
it sort of companioned with charles kuralt.
it was driving through small towns across america, eating
in local cafes, talking to colorful locals.
they too had the blue highway mentality. and it is wonderful.
i do love the small towns of wisconsin around our farm.
colorful and full of interest.
farm auctions.
local celebrations.
it is a great idea to drive the back roads.
