Larry
In our neck of the Oz woods, current prices are:
Cobalt oxide A$79.75/250 gm
Cobalt carbonate A$49.90/250 gm
Cobalt silicate A$22.90/250 gm
Guess which one we are buying lately?
The silicate replaces the carbonate form 1:1,
additions to glazes of 0.5% to 2% have shown
no difference in appearance.
I don't know who makes the silicate
or where it comes from.

from Carbonate I wonder if buying Oxide is not a wiser choice?

Doesn't it substitute at 2.5/1 with a cost of $35/$50?
