korean/karatsu style kickwheel pictures and instructions

For all of you who expressed interest in the kickwheel, I finally found
all the pics and was able to post them to my blog at blogspot (below) in
a total of 3 posts. Instructions for building the wooden wheel with
pictures, metal parts list with pictures unassembled and assembled.
Sorry it took so long to get everything together. Finding the pics was
the hardest part. Decided to post it to the blog rather than send it out
to everyone individually, so in the future it will be readily accessible.
Ladies and Gentlemen, start your engines!

Thanks Mike. You are a scholar and a gentleman.

I am going to make me one of those if it kills me. If I could see
someone using one of those puppies up close, I would be in heaven.
Must be at least a little different throwing than on a continental
kickwheel (lockerbie), don't you think?

I sing your praises (and the body electric).

Peace out,

Taylor

Sure thing Taylor. As someone on Claycraft pointed out, you can skip
having to make many of the parts if you opt for a bearing in the top as
well. For anyone making the wheel purely for throwing, I'd say go for
the bearings instead.

But for the coil, paddle, and pinchers, go with the cone, you won't be
sorry.
