Tony C,

I just talked to my guru electric brother and he said you want to get a UPS - uninterrupted power supply. Being that you're Canadian, you need a UPS-eh. Check your wattage on your micro-controller to match the wattage requirements of your UPS. You can get them at walmart, newegg, etc.

If electric, my bro said its more complicated and would need a wiring diagram and he can tell you how to wire it into a UPS so that if the power goes off, it will reset and restart itself. I told him he should be a consultant for electrical things related to pottery.
