Haha! I have heard about this. Didn't the military do a complete set
of underwear? Would be appreciated in the fox hole, I am sure. Or in a tank.
I am not sure if they used copper, but it might be
more cost effective than other chemicals. I found an article here:

There is a company out there marketing a line of clothes as "stink free." They are using silver in the material.
