Late in the spring, with the help of a friend, I replaced 4 of the 8
fuse assemblies
in my L&L 236, the ones that seemed to be in the worst shape.
This has had a revolutionary result. I was able to successfully do
all the firings
for my summer fair, about 8 firings, without any disruption. I
cannot remember going
this many firings without a hitch.
If you have an old kiln that is rumbling along, I would highly
recommend looking at
the fuse assemblies. BTW, L&L was very helpful. My model # had long
worn off, and
I got a list of all possible assemblies faxed to me so I could choose
the one that looked
like mine.
Best,
Eleanora
