interns and apprentices: may i be a nag?

Please. Before you get into the apprentice/intern thing check with your
insurance company. Does your present homeowner's cover it? Will you need
Workmen's Comp? Etc. Not to mention that your accountant may have an
opinion re: Social Security and like that.

If it has not been stated already, get severa references, quality telling
ones, and really listen to what they say.Ask them at the end of your
interview '' if you were me would you take this peson on as an apprentice?''
If they are negative, even with no further elaboration explainatin, beware,
as they do not want legal trouble but are warning you.
