kickwheel pottery's raven clay - true black?

Thank you so much to those who have responded!!!

So I gather that this clay does not fire true black? That it actually=
fires to a deep, dark brown or blue-black depending on whether it's fired=
in oxidation or reduction?

Thanks!
Nina

Does anyone have any experience with this clay? I've never been able to=
get "black" with this clay, just a deep chocolatey brown at ^6 ox and a=
nice blue/black at ^9 reduc. And all the clears I've tried on it takes it=
to a milk chocolate. I've contacted Kickwheel and they're really nice but=
haven't been able to help.

Any sharing would be great.

Thanks,
Nina
