i have a great story.
my god son, bill burgert was helping out at
local school...demo throwing etc.
he went to the `bad kid` room, really bad kids.
sleeping...jackets on...no one looked up at
his demo.
he had his digital camera in his pocket..so he
took a pix of a sleeping girl...she woke with
the flash `hey, you took my picture,man`
she said.
`i am doing a story for a major magazine and
i wanted your picture for my story`.
they all sat up straight...became interested.
he took a few pix, they all got into it.
some moved close to him.
just a creative way of motivating...`bad kids`.
i laughed so hard. he said to me.
`heck, i just wondered what mel would do in this
situation.`
(i had mounted old movie projector lens in my art room
ceiling when i taught jr. high.
told the kids they were spy cameras. hell, they will
believe anything.`
you have to be one step more goofey when teaching
kids.
