Dear Tony,
What a treat to see this man's work. Talk about eye candy. It is
"inspiring" to see how a person can make functional work so creative.
Joyce Wheatley (Toronto) slices a vertical rim of a bowl to the
bottom edge and folds the two edges together to make oval work. This
takes that method even further. The forms are so pure, and the glaze
is perfect for those forms. The way they are stacked reminds me of
how Ron's dinnerware is stacked. Talking about Ron folks, his hands
are in clay again. We are going to be part of a wood firing this
autumn.
Liz from Grafton, Ontario, Canada.
p.s. Was off clayart for a while, (knee replacement surgery in May)
been back on clayart now for a few weeks, (just reading the posts,
doing a lot of chuckling, head shaking, some swearing at some posts
and singing the circle game in my head as I read some). I took the
summer off and started back to work again last week. Something that
I had not realized is that taking a sabbatical is not such a bad
thing. Creative juices are flowing,. . .thank god for that.

Liz: Glad to see the old folks are going to a wood firing. Don't you
two smoke and drink too much and go tripping over a stick and hurting
yourselves.
Bon feu!
