I am a little puzzled by it. We downloaded it. We went to a web page and the
text was too small so we used the text zoom tool to enlarge the text. Then
we created a shortcut on the desktop for the page. When we used the shortcut
to open the page the text was too small but the tool icon was not there.

Jim --
It's a 'beta release' -- and still pretty
buggy. It's best to be cautious with
relying on new releases.

Zoom TOOL? You had to use a tool to enlarge text?
Well that kills it for me! Both Firefox and Internet Explorer allow
quick and easy zooming with the mouse wheel. Just press Ctrl and
wheel away. Everything (including images) zooms. It's particularly
helpful on a monitor running at high resolution.
(I may just be a slow-study on this feature. For all I know it's
existed for years, but I only discovered it in the past couple weeks
after installing the latest versions of Firefox and IE).
Are you being paid to do this beta testing? (hee, hee--sorry!)

No. I think James lost the options icon on the bar next to the
address bar. You right click there and can bring it back.

I use a trackball not a rodent. ;^) So I can't test the wheel
scroll. But it changes text size with the standard + or -
Most of these things are standard. Except each tab is fully
independent of the others so they don't freeze up if one tab has a
problem.

This is a new approach with a web browser and will make Windows
redundant. The shift to Linux will be enabled.
And it is very fast! I always have tested open source betas.
It is a small price to pay to bust the monopolies in the chops.
I highly recommend openoffice.org too.
