excellent thought about picasso and plates.
what is more difficult than painting in a circle?
it is hard enough in the magic rectangle.
but, a circle....a stained glass window in a church.
think of the problem.
potters have a great challenge....the big platter.
that is why so many copy others.
why the great plates of hamada are copied over and over.
i see them at many shows.
and, of course hamada copied someone else.
