The good folks at Paragon Kilns have done it again. Arnold Howard and
the the good "Lady Susan" have helped me out of a pickle.
I'm in a crush to get a high volume of product through my kilns for some
shows coming up that are back to back practically, plus it is the front
end of the Christmas Holiday buying season - and I have deadlines to
meet. Smack in the middle of this I had a kiln controller go out on me.
It was crucial that I have minimum down time and because of being caught
in the work cycle of the plant (it was 4 PM and the the plant is closed
on Fridays) and the upcoming weekend, and the use of surface shipping -
it looked as if I was going to lose nearly 10 days getting a new
controller. Well, it was the last hour of the day when we talked, and
they went to work immediately through a local distributor and made
arrangements for me to pick up a controller from the local
distributor's inventory, thus saving me over a week's down time. I pick
it up Friday morning.
These Paragon folks are great and Paragon's support is terrific.

I second that heartily. Arnold Howard held my hand and listened to
mp3s of a weird sound I had coming from the kiln area, correctly and
astutely diagnosing it at the same time it finally hit sleepless me
like a ton of bricks that it was an "electronic" sound. He was very
present from thousands of miles away as I worried the thing out alone
while my other friendly 'tech support' was unavailable.

I like Paragon. I have a Cone 9 Paragon kiln which I'm very happy with.
I also like Skutt, and have found their tech support to be very good.
