Dear Claybuds,
Mark Peters (from North Carolina) has a web-site that might interest
those who fire with wood, and those who are interested in building a
kiln <>.
There are some videos that you can watch, (if you are not on
dial-up). There is one of the Hog Barn Baby, the kiln that was built
at Monica Johnston and Paulus Tjiang's here in central eastern
Ontario, that I was a part of in May, 2004. It shows a lot of the
steps in building the kiln. We fired this last Monday/Tuesday, and I
am patiently waiting to see the pots. It fires beautifully, and Mark
gives a wonderful kiln building workshop. I would recommend him to
anyone without any hesitation.
Very good posts on creativity, that is good stuff to read on Clayart.
. . and if anyone wants to see racoons, they are welcome to come here
to Grafton. Have you heard them mating??? My friend Judith was here
one Spring, and we both thought someone was being murdered outside.
They are probably one of my least favorite animals, close to snakes.
Liz from Grafton, Ontario, Canada
where the color of the maple trees is absolutely stunning this year.
Mostly oranges, red oranges, deep yellows, rust. . . .and the grass
is still green, a beautiful autumn this year. I wish it would last.
