Outstanding, John! I'd like to forward your post to all of my
teacher friends with
special emphasis given to the elementary teachers. In
addition, I'd send a copy to the curriculum director, superintendent
and personnel directors of the area's school district office..... and suggest
that it be placed in the packet for New Teachers as well as that of School
Board of Education members.

All this only with your permission, of course.

I'm aware, possessing an ancient life credential for elementary
education, that this
is not necessarily New News; however, I've never seen it both so personally,
succinctly and professionally well stated. The fact that such
knowledge and wisdom
comes from an at-the-front teacher of the moment will provide the
kind of credibility
that cannot be derived solely from Studies and Statistics.

Atta boy.

I second that idea Joyce, I am also forwarding it to my high school
teacher friends, I think it is valuable info for all levels of
education. Mike Gordon
