Dear Ivor:
totally agree a high potassium frit should be feasible--but I do
not have a fritting kiln, or crucible or whatever! It is my
fantasy that Ferro or like that will read our tear-drowned
messages and create one!

Dear Lili Krakowski,
I can see I will have to do something about this. I am sure it should
be possible to put a trial batch through a cone 8 firing.
The great problem I foresee is the attack of the batch upon the
crucible. Platinum is a bit on the expensive side at the moment and an
Iron pot would contaminate the melt.
But it is great to be able to dream.
Best regards,
Ivor Lewis.
