Dear Lili and other interested parties.

It may be possible to make Frits by fusing the following mixtures at
cone 8 or higher.
My prediction is that these two recipes will generate glassy frits
that have a fusion point in the region of 1000 Deg C. Their solvent
power would make them useful for glazes fired at cone 6. They should
be cooled quickly otherwise the glass may crystallise and become water
soluble.

No 1. Kaolin 8.5%
Quartz 54%
Potassium Carbonate 37.5%

No 2 Potash Felspar 17.35%

Ivor Lewis.
