Hi,
Just unloaded the first glaze firing in the new MFT (fires like a dream!)
and all the glazes look good, save the temmoku. It's sort of a transparent
green-brown with little, black spots. I noticed a silt of fine, black junk on
the bottom of the glaze bucket. Is that some black iron ox falling out of
suspension? I'll get a magnet in there this afternoon to test for metalic
iron.
Ron Roy, you mentioned having some problems with your red iron
previously. What sort of symptoms did you have?
While I'm on the subject, what is the difference between regular red
iron and Spanish Iron oxide? My impression was that it is finer and a
little less pure.
