Anyone receiving an award will have the option of=3D20
a month-long show of their work at the ARTS ALIVE! gallery within the year.
Summit County Arts Council is a non-profit=3D20
organization dedicated to supporting the arts in=3D20
Summit County. ARTS ALIVE! gallery is a=3D20
cooperative gallery managed by the Summit County=3D20
Arts Council and operated by Summit county=3D20
artists who display their work in the gallery.=3D20
ARTS ALIVE! features ceramics, watercolor, oil=3D20
and acrylic painting, photography, pastels,=3D20
printmaking, fiber arts and jewelry.
CALENDAR DEADLINES:
June 1, 2009. Forms, images & payment are due at the Summit Arts Council.
June 10, 2009. Accepted entries will be notified via e-mail.
June 29, 2009. Artwork selected must be received.
July 2-3, 2009. Artwork judging.
July 11, 2009. Notification of Awards with reception to follow: 4-8 pm
August 14, 2009. All artwork must be picked up=3D20
unless prior arrangements have been made for shipping.
ELIGIBILITY: This Summer Juried Show is open to=3D20
all artists, 18 years of age or over, working in=3D20
oil, acrylic, watercolor, pastel, photography,=3D20
drawing, sculpture, ceramics, mixed media, fiber=3D20
art, digital art, and printmaking. All work must=3D20
be original (no reproductions), comply with=3D20
copyright laws and completed within the last two=3D20
years. Framed dimensions shall be not larger than=3D20
20=3D94 x 24=3D94 (outer dimensions). Three dimensional=3D20
art shall be no larger than 12=3D94x12=3D94x12=3D94.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS: All artwork must be original=3D20
(no reproductions) and comply with copyright=3D20
laws. Frame outside dimensions can be no larger=3D20
than 20=3D94 x 24=3D94. Frame (entire piece must be=3D20
within these dimensions). Sculpture and=3D20
three-dimensional work must be less than=3D20
12=3D94x12=3D94x12=3D94 and weight under 100 pounds. Arts=3D20
Alive Gallery shall provide pedestals for all 3-D artwork.
ENTRY/APPLICATION FEE: $15 for SCAC Members and=3D20
$25 for Non-Members. Up to three pieces per=3D20
entry. Fees are non-refundable. Send your=3D20
completed entry form and CD of your work, along=3D20
with a check made out to SCAC. Credit Cards are NOT accepted for=3D
applications.
SUBMISSION GUIDELINES: Artists may enter up to 3=3D20
works of art in the form of a CD, labeled with=3D20
the artists name, artwork media and number of=3D20
entries. Submissions must be JPEG digital images=3D20
(max 6 inches wide or tall at 150 dpi resolution)=3D20
and named with the format: =3D93First Name_Last=3D20
Name_Entry#.jpg=3D94. CD will not be returned. All=3D20
works must be for sale. Exhibited work will be=3D20
sold at the price specified on the entry form. A=3D20
commission of 40% is retained for works sold during the exhibition.
