Some weeks ago, Randall was inquiring about Bernard Leach's article
"American Impressions" from Craft Horizons magazine back in 1950. I
was able to locate a copy of said article, which I sent to Randall.
It occurred to me that others might be interested, so I posted it to
my hidden clayart page (http://www.jamesfreemanstudio.com/clayart/) as
a word document available for download. The article is three pages
long, though my word document contains a fourth blank page that I was
unable to delete.
All the best.

Leach sounded more sympathetic to us in this article than Marguerite
Wildenhain's response lead us to believe. She must have taken
Leach's criticism of Bauhaus personally.

"The tea ceremony bowl is the ceramic equivalent of a sonnet: a
small-scale, seemingly constricted form that challenges the artist to
go beyond mere technical virtuosity and find an approach that both
satisfies and transcends the conventions." -- Rob Sliberman
