You are right about that Des. Could be my memory of his demonstration. Not
sure where my original notes are stored. But if you read on you will see
that he applies the 24 kt leaf and then overpaints with resin lustres befor=
e
firing (pp 132-3.
Olive has been using my sheets of leaf for decoration but there enough left
to have a trial when the weather warms up.
You ought to try out his recipe for making Resin Lustres from metallic
salts. Iron salts can create a wonderful orange gold with a metallic nuance=
.
