Hi All;
Been playing with color decals and mixing my love for clay with an intere=

st in photography.=3D20=3D20
Although I have been having a great deal of luck, I have run into a snag.=
=3D
Wondering if=3D20
anyone else has had issues with black speckling where the yellow decal pa=
=3D
per was not cut=3D20
away exactly from around the image. It is the exact shape of the paper. =
=3D
This seems to=3D20
happen more in the bottom of shallow bowls than the exterior of cups. I =
=3D
am applying them=3D20
to previously fired cone 9 porcelain with yanagahara white. I use an ele=
=3D
ctric kiln with a=3D20
vent. I follow the manufactures directions to a "T". Including cleaning=
=3D
with denatured=3D20
alcohol, waiting at least 12 hours, venting until at least 850 etc. I us=
=3D
e the non-flux variety.=3D20
Fun process and beautiful results. EXCEPT the pepper like halo. (BTW I =
=3D
would love to find=3D20
out how to get the black speckling on purpose where I want it)
Any help would be appreciated.

Michelle:
You don't say what kind of decals you are using but from the words
'yellow paper' I am guessing that you have some color laser decals
that have a yellow color covercoat as supplied in the Zimmer system.
Sounds like some dirt in the flux they put into the yellow covercoat.
Take it up with the supplier is my advice.
