dumb math question glaze testing

Here's most likely a DUMB math question. I have a Base glaze I like on my
new Calico Clay. Looks good as a semi matt/satiny glaze with 6% rutile.
It's a High Calcium base glaze and I'm using it over a light speckled tan
stoneware cone 6 Oxidation firing.

I want to mix up 1000g of this base glaze (minus the Rutile) and than use
some type of syringe or something to suck up the glaze batch by 100g. (ie 1=
0
x 100=3D1000g) Than I can add ANY colorants I want to test for to that 100=
g.

What I am wanting is to see ( and hopefully understand) what colorants
added to this base glaze makes what color on this clay. I know very basic
but I don't seem to be able to wrap that around my brain. After I get an
understanding of what colorants make what color on my clay, I am than hopin=
g
to explore those % of colorants to get richer colors.

So If I like say Cobalt and Rutile, I can than explore just those and my
base later. Right now I am not "getting" what makes what color with just
one base glaze. I am not interested in using stains, I want to understand
more of the colorants I add so that I will have a glaze recipe I can repea=
t
( cheaper for me).

Does that makes sense or am I going about this all wrong? The help I have
received is about taking just one % of colorants and increasing them to
see. However, I am wanting to see what colorants like cobalt/rutile/etc
makes what with that base and clay body.

I guess I want more options first and than narrow down which to explore
more? I am wanting to see what a variety of colorants do in this base glaz=
e
and clay body. Thansk for any help and thoughts!
