I've met Mario Mariani. He's a friend of Pietro Maddalena who runs
the La Meridiana Pottery Training Center near Certaldo.

He's a real character and one of the few of those listed who is still
making by hand. He gets a lot for his big garden pots.

And if you want to see a REALLY tightly stacked kiln... There is no
wasted space in his kiln.
