Hi Ingeborg,
I can do some substitutions for you - I need recipes and types of spars you
have.

Hi Ron,

I guess I was under the impression there are substitutions if you are out o=
f
a certain ingredient, i.e. 100 grams of Nephy Sy can be substituted with 25
grams of this and 25 grams of that and 50 of something else to come up with
100 grams equaling the equivalent of Neph Sy. I know one of my cookbooks
has a section of substitutions if you find yourself short of something. I
think of glaze mixing as cooking minus the tasting :)

Anyhow, Here are the two recipes that I mixed which I normally don't and
they use a lot of Neph Sy. Without thinking I mixed a 10,000 gram batch o=
f
each. I have a small amount of neph sy left and it might last me until I
order a ton of clay at which time I generally add all of the 50# bags of
chemicals to the shipment which is more cost effective. I generally fire
to ^10 in Reduction

CAC Turquoise ^8-10 R

Neph Sy 48.1
Barium Carb 37.3
Silica 7.5
OM-4 Ball Clay 7.1

Rutile 5.
Copper Carb 2
Bentonite

---------------------------------------------------------------------------=
-----------
MC 532 Turquoise Copper/Blue Matt ^ 8-10 R or Ox

Barium Carb 27
Neph Sy 58
Kaolin 6.2
Flint 7.1
Lithium Carb 1.7

Copper Carb 4.54
Bentonite

I have plenty of Kona F4 and G 200 on hand.

Thanks.

Sincerely,

Ingeborg
