Judy...
Here is a cone 06 metallic pewter glaze that I came up with a year or
so ago while playing around with volumetric blends. I don't have a
lot of experience with it yet, but it has worked every time I have
fired it, and the samples have remained metallic. It is not even
remotely food safe, as it is WAY overloaded with copper. Also not
cheap due to all the copper, so probably best used for accents.
JF Metallic Silver Grey Cone 06
Frit 3110 1 part by volume
Wood ash 1 part by volume
Copper Oxide 1/4 part by volume
If you prefer to do it by weight, it works out to
Frit 3110 55.07
Wood Ash 15.94
Copper Oxide 28.99 (Yep, that much copper!)
Have fun with it.
