The Tozan Noborigama kiln was ajacent to the Vancouver Island
University (VIU), formerly Malaspina University ... Campus in
Nanaimo, B.C. It has been succesfully torn down and moved south of
town to open country on land owned by the Tamagawa College of Japan.

Due to growth on the surrounding formerly vacant land and expansion
of the Malaspina Campus the old site was unsuitable.

The rebuilding is now complete and work is in progress preparing
wood for the first open firing after the test firing. Pictures of
the test firing are on the web site:

.The web site has the history of the Tozan kilns of which there are
three in the world. One in Japan, one in Arizona, and one in Canada.
