When throwing tall pitchers or basically any form you want to trim . =3D
Leave it on the plaster bat until it is leather hard, trim the vertical =3D
walls. Trim in a slight undercut at the base of the pot where the clay =3D
meets the plaster. Use a thin, stiff scientific spatula that an edge =3D
was made thinner by sharpening it. Then place the spatula at the =3D
plaster/clay point and turn your wheel slowly while keeping the spatula =3D
flat and move it towards the center of the pot. The pot pops off, =3D
without distortion of the lip etc. This works well for other forms =3D
also. The pot can then be turned upside down to trim the underneath of =3D
your for, or just make the bottom of your pot =3DBC" thick (or less) and =
=3D
do no trimming. Just smooth of any clay burrs etc.
