Still two weeks in my clayart posts.. Sandra Dwiggins asked about
controlling drying for trimming (this is also useful for large pieces,
platters and such that need to dry slow and even). Go to the produce guy at
your local market and get a bunch of the plastic that they wrap bananas in.
they throw it away. It's perforated. coveryour pieces in a sheet of this and
they will dry perfectly every time. It's easy to catch stuff at the right
time to trim. I usually dry overnight uncovered and then 24 hrs under
plastic, then trim. Things dry fast here. If you want to really slow them
down cover with two sheets.
