I am interested in personal experiences,pro and con, to the Orton or
Enviro downdraft vent system. I'm hoping it will solve what appears to
be the effect of fuming, discoloration of glazes in the upper part of
the kiln. The glazes that I'm using are based on an earthenware clay
that I dug up,very similar to Albany Slip it seems,fluxed with gerstley
borate,fired to cone 02. Does the down-draft method cause uneven
heating?Any recommendations?
