ive got a friend who wants to set up a studio. she wants to get the
blueprints of a wood truss barn from the lumber yard. she has a small ki=

that she plans to fire in it and needs to know specs that shell for it to =
be
safe. you know, height, size, & window placement, etc. i told her id wri=
te
you all cause this great network of folks will give great input.

Bitz,
If the small kiln is electric, no special considerations
exist other than sufficient clearance to meet manufacturer's
recommendations.
If she plans to fire a gas kiln, I would recommend a
separate outbuilding far enough from the studio to not pose
a carbon monoxide danger in the event she fires heavy
reduction.

Let's assume that's an electric kiln. Easy answer: Go to the
maker's web site and check their specs for clearance. Add
about 2 ft and Bob's your uncle.
Trust me--I used to do this for a living.
