Dear Kelly,
Have you ever thought to put your peddle to the metal and wind the heat up
in your Raku kiln to see if that weed burner will make it clip cone six
plus
Back in ' 83 I wanted to do some work in Salt glaze. I lined a 50 gallon
drum with three inches of ramming insulating refractory (Instructions from
Jack Troy "Salt Glaze" book), cast a lid from a bag of refractory concrete,
bought TM 250 LPG burner and fired up to cone 8 plus. Limitations yes!!
Either a few tall posts or a few shallow wide ones. A good design
challenge.
