Everyone has found some marriage of glazes (or possibly even risque
trisommes) that just work beautifully in an ensemble.

I'd like to share a couple of mine -- I'll post their recipes later -- I
don't have them on me right at the moment:

CONE 10
Copper Red/Shaner matte red

Copper red/woo blue

CONE 6
Ron Roy Licorice 3 -- glossy black -- tends to flow unevenly
EPK 1700 ---- --------------17 %
Custer feldspar 2200-------- 22 %
Whiting 400-------------- -----4 %
Talc 500----------------------- 5 %
Frit 3134 2600--------------- 26 %
Flint 2600 -------------------26 %
-------- ---------------------10000 TOTAL
-----------------------100 %

Bentonite 200----------------- 2 %
Red iron oxide 900---------- 9 %
Cobalt carbonate 200------- 2 %

**White Satin Matt
***Gerstley borate 31.6 **
talc 13.95**Kona F4 19.80**
EPK 4.98** silica (flint) 29.64**

Colorants** zircopax 5.11

Method --
put a thick coat of Ron Roy licorice on first. Let it dry a bit
Brush, dip or drip White Satin matte all over the piece where you want a
lovely waterfall effect of black and white glazes comingling in a
beautiful swirly design

It's good to do the entire piece like this. I made a small sake set
with it. Here is a photo of a Japanese chawan done with it.

hope this helps divert interests from handwashing and nonspam pottery sales=
.

much love
