YES... I do plan to keep the proceeds or use the proceeds as I see
fit, if I do the exhibit. Gallery space is extremely valuable to us
through the summer months. The primary benefit that the participants would
receive is the advertising of their pottery (at least their mugs) to 700 or
more customers who visit our gallery through the summer, most of our
clients being from Massachussetts and the North East. For some potters
that might be considered cheap advertising and for others it would not.
You can ship a mug priority mail for $3.00 last I knew. Certainly this is
not for everyone and I can certainly see and understand both sides of the
issue. It is just an economic reality of gallery space, time, running a
business, and trying to earn a living. If I had a 100 mugs on display I
guess that I might actually sell 33% to 50% of the mugs ... that would
translate to somewhere to around $450 to $750 in retail sells... Maybe I
will just retire early on selling all those Clayart Mugs!...

If Marshall keeps the proceeds I'm one that can be counted out. My mugs
sell for $35 and I'm not about to contribute to Marshall"s personal
charity - I hve other charities I feel more worth while!
