Mel, here is a short statement about the glazes.

The brown and gold crystal glaze is a manganese=3D20
glaze (20.5%) with a fraction of iron for the=3D20
color. The glaze was fired in a normal stoneware=3D20
firing, that has glossy and mat glazes in the=3D20
firing. The kiln is fired from 1650 degrees=3D20
Fahrenheit to cone 9 =3DBD in reduction ( .65 on an=3D20
oxygen probe) from start to finish. The kiln is=3D20
oxidized during the last stage of firing. I=3D20
close up the burner ports, completely close the=3D20
damper and put a ceramic blanket over the brick=3D20
up door. If left alone the kiln will take five days to cool.

The red and gold glaze is a three ingredient=3D20
feldspathic glaze with a high quality Yellow=3D20
ochre as the only colorant. It is a glaze that=3D20
takes experience to use properly. It is not a=3D20
success only glaze, but very elegant when it comes out this way.
