Very interested in the comments re above as=3DC2=3DA0I noticed this a coupl=
e of=3D
years ago after I'd sieved out the glaze a couple of times,=3DC2=3DA0a gra=
nula=3D
r sludge remained. (Sorry about one Poster's hands in bucket irritation pro=
=3D
blem. That's a bummer.) Well, I just tipped it back into the bucket as I fi=
=3D
gured "something" untoward was going on, but I also knew that I couldn't af=
=3D
ford to compromise the recipe by the amount of granular sludge not passing =
=3D
though the sieve. I --like others -- have determined since that it's the li=
=3D
thium. Not noticed anything "bad" about the melt. I see I've purchased Lith=
=3D
ium Carb (Fine) and I do have a choice from my supplier for LC (powder tech=
=3D
) which I guess I should buy. I=3DC2=3DA0shop at Seattle Pottery Supply.=3D=
20

I have to reiterate, that I returned to USA in 2004 after 25 years in UK wh=
=3D
ere I potted and I have to assure you, Clayartists, that the learning curve=
=3D
on bodies, raw materials and substitutions is making me a better potter. A=
=3D
bit bug-eyed on occasion...but better. I could bring back=3DC2=3DA0nothing=
tha=3D
t plugged in, white powders definitely a no-no: homeland security would hav=
=3D
e licked their chops. I=3DC2=3DA0had to start workshop up again. Somedays I=
thi=3D
nk I'm all "over the=3DC2=3DA0shop" with ^6, then majolica, then ^8/9. But =
I'm =3D
plugging away and find the suggestions and especially the helping hands wit=
=3D
