and as climate change hits the grain belt

I am not sure about the reports of climate change.
Especially the warming up part, at least not here in northern Il.
Living in the center of the grain belt, I can say,
I haven't noticed any warming up.
This year was the coldest in many a year.
And the wettest in the last 30 years here on my place.
Sure wood of likes some heat and less rain this year.
Crop yields were down 25% or more.
Need to make and sell more pots now.

We've been pretty mild here. You must be in a pocket.

But the drought/heat projections don't effec Northern Il or
Minnesota, they hit Kansas, Nebraska, Missouri and south of there.
You and I are in an area of lower effect.

Folks don't understand the difference between climate and weather
and local temperatures vs. gobal averages.

We don't see drastic changes here, but for the first time, the
Bering Straights are navigational, and soon we will loose all ice at
the North Pole.

We should be more sensitive about these things. As potters,
we deal in the basic elements every day.
