I am wanting to create a majolica look at a more vitreous firing range, as
has been suggested by the experts work. I need a red clay that doesn't turn
brown at mid range, or to adjust a glaze to fit with a red that is vitreous
at a lower range. The most popular reds I know of, in California, are Navah=

Wheel and Terracotta, both go to cones 5/6, so I assume they would be too
permeable/no vitreous at low fire. Would those clays or some other red fire=

cone 1 (she has an 03 and an o5 recipe)???

Centra,
I use Arbuckle's 03 glazes and terra sig on Continental
Clay's smooth red earthenware and it is extremely functional.
