nting=3D0AFine Craft artists throughout the state of Florida, seeks an Exec=

=3D0Aleader to manage the growth of the organization. Background and experi=

Strategic business and financial management including financial statements =

and operating budgets

Managing the day-to-day operations of a non-profit including staff and volu=

nteer activities

Recruitment such as; staff building, executive board member development and=

donor cultivation

Exhibition development desirable

Knowledge/experience with fine craft art

Management of retail operation including on-line sales

Knowledge of new marketing and communication opportunities such as social m=

Reports directly to the Board of Directors.

=3D0ADirector is responsible for the strategic leadership of the=3D0Aorgani=

on to ensure its future relevance as a statewide arts=3D0Aorganization, cre=

bility, and financial viability. The Executive=3D0ADirector is responsible =

r establishing organizational objectives and=3D0Apriorities and for reviewi=
ng=3D
and evaluating the progress and work=3D0Atoward attainment of objectives a=
nd=3D
performance goals established by=3D0Athe board of directors.

WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:

Executive=3D0ADirector actively develops alliances and partnerships by invo=
lv=3D
ing the=3D0Acommunity and by personally promoting participation, volunteeri=
sm=3D
, and=3D0Aphilanthropy.

Internal Relationships:

Works=3D0Adirectly with the Board of Directors and the Executive Committee =
to=3D
=3D0Adevelop organizational policies in support of Florida Craftsmen's=3D0A=
miss=3D
ion. As the leader of the senior management team, the Executive=3D0ADirecto=

guides the development of strategic and operational plans.

External Relationships:

The Executive Director works directly with community leaders, major donors,=

philanthropists, and government organizations.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Strategic Organizational Management:
Provides the organization with the vision and leadership to carry out its m=
=3D
ission.

Maintains=3D0Astaff and volunteer focus on its mission and vision and imple=
me=3D
nts=3D0Aestablished priorities through an inclusive strategic plan and=3D0A=
mana=3D
gement system.

Seeks out opportunities to improve operational efficiency and cohesion.
Develops=3D0Apolicies and strategies for sound financial management includi=
ng=3D
all=3D0Arevenues, expenses, endowment funds, and investments. Ensures rigo=
ro=3D
us=3D0Astandards and long term stability through the conservative fiscal=3D=
0Ama=3D
nagement.

Encourages and facilitates the application of technology for greatest effic=

iencies.

Development:

Provides the leadership and long term vision necessary to enhance fundraisi=

ng and development.

Develops new initiatives to create endowments or other long-term funding to=
=3D
support programming objectives.

Leads staff and volunteers in the development and implementation of a strat=
=3D
egic plan for an annual campaign.

Solicits and stewards major individual and corporate donors ensuring accoun=
=3D
tability and recognition.

Performs other duties related to the qualifications and requirements of the=
=3D
job.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

Education:

Undergraduate degree is required. Graduate degree is desirable

Experience:

Individual=3D0Ashould possess a minimum of ten years of directly related ex=
pe=3D
rience=3D0Aincluding several years in a senior managerial capacity with a s=
im=3D
ilar=3D0Ainstitution.

A fine art background is=3D0Aessential. A Craft Art background will provide=
u=3D
seful credential both=3D0Ainternally and externally. Experience in developi=
ng=3D
exhibitions and=3D0Aprograms is a plus.

We seek an individual with well rounded business acumen and strategic analy=
=3D
tic capability.=3D20

Must=3D0Ahave direct management responsibility for large-scale initiatives=
=3D0A=3D
involving significant budgets and impact, staff, and diverse=3D0Astakeholde=
r =3D
groups.

Significant=3D0Aexperience is required in a variety of recruiting roles, su=
ch=3D
as; staff=3D0Abuilding, executive board member development and donor culti=
va=3D
tion.

Extensive experience working with volunteers.

Skills:
