No, I am not talking about the winner of the NC folk art grant winner of la=
st year as her work uses molds.

And no, the only conclusion that can be drawn from the handmade debate is N=
OT that Vince is correct, as he is not according to me and everybody else (=
see below).

The conclusion is that "handmade" IS "pottery pornography":

-Everybody has their own tastes regarding it

-Everybody has their own threshold where it is or it is not

-The public doesn't care as long as it is abundant and cheap

-The makers all want the patent to milk it for the most revenue

-Europeans have a clearer standard and practices re it

-There isn't a country on earth that doesn't have a long tradition of it

-One uses ones hands to make it

-As SCOTUS determined, you cannot define it but you know it when you see it

Let's take this one at a time.

1)That is not the only conclusion that can be drawn and Vince is correct in
his definition of handmade.

2) Everybody may have their own tastes but that has no effect on the
definition of what is handmade.

3) See #2

4) The care or interest that the public takes has no effect on the
definition or See #2.

5) This is not true. I for one only want to use the real definition and for
people who do not make handmade items to be honest in their claims. This ha=
s
no bearing on the artistic merit of the work.

6) This may or may not be true since Europe is a large continent with many
different countries, standards and traditions.

7) This is correct. All countries on earth have a long history in making
things by hand.

8) Very obvious since "hand" is in the term being discussed.

9) Pottery isn't pornography so your conclusion and the definition of
pornography is yet another red herring.
