Hi
I just mixed a new batch of orange carbon trap - recipe below. What I got
was something entirely different - in a firing that was well reduced and
produced good carbon trapping with other glazes, this turned out pure white
and it crazed. Any ideas of what might be making this happen. The redart di=
d
go into it.
4000 Neph Sy
120 Soda Ash
150 Kentucky Ball Clay
130 Feldspar NC-4

Lou Raye,
The last sentence answered your question: " The redart did go into it."
The redart being your primary source of iron.
