Greetings all,=3D20
There is a major Ceramics Convention coming to Philadelphia at the end =3D
of March and we have several events planned. The National Council on =3D
Education in the Ceramic Arts (NCECA) will hold its annual convention at =
=3D
The PA convention center in Philadelphia March 31 to April 3. Since our =3D
studio is walking distance to the conference we are planning two =3D
pre-conference workshops and a Pottery showcase and sale during the =3D
conference.
PLEASE HELP US TO SPREAD THE WORD ABOUT THESE WORKSHOPS AS THEY ARE =3D
ALREADY FILLING.=3D20

I am hopeful that we will get to see many of our friends and former =3D
students from out of town at this time. If you have never been to =3D
Philadelphia before I will tell you that you can see more galleries and =3D
Art centers in ONE square mile (mostly walking distance) than you will =3D
see spread over entire states! Our own studio is just a five minute walk =
=3D
to the Philadelphia Museum of Art, with a world class collection. Soon I =
=3D
will be posting to our web site an insiders map to our favorite =3D
restaurants and pottery sites in our city. We will send you more info on =
=3D
the Potters Showcase as the time approaches (or see our web site now!)

Join Sandi and Neil in this two-day workshop at their studio in =3D
Philadelphia.
Learn two approaches to making pots in the intimate setting of their =3D
studio.=3D20
This workshop will focus on the incorporation of texture in both hand =3D
built and wheel thrown pots. Traditional forms such as bowls, cups, =3D
jars, teapots and vases will=3D20
be demonstrated. Slab construction will be presented parallel to wheel =3D
thrown work, exposing participants to a wide range of techniques. =3D
Limited to 24 participants.

Learn two approaches to making pouring pots in the intimate setting of =3D
their studio.=3D20
Neil will demonstrate wheel throwing, altering and assembling and Sandi =3D
will show how to make various pouring pots using soft slabs of clay. =3D
Teapots, pitchers, creamers, and other small pots that pour will be =3D
covered. Emphasis will be put on how to make a pot that is comfortable =3D
to hold while full, and that pours well. Limited to 24 participants.
