Elements 8. I have just had to upgrade to a Windows 7 notebook computer,=3D
and the=3D20
version of Elements that I have (#5) will not work with Windows 7 accordin=

to the Windows 7 Advisor and according to the Adobe web site.=3D20
Does anyone have any experience with Paint Shop Pro X2, and if so, what do=

you think of it in comparison with Photoshop Elements?
I would really appreciate your help.
Thanks in advance.

Corel's Paint Shop series has been around a long=3D20
time as a low-cost alternative to Photoshop (it=3D20
predates Elements). I believe it was bought from=3D20
a company called "Jasc." Although I'm a longtime=3D20
user of CorelDraw (version 1.2!), I've never tried Paint Shop, and here's=
=3D
why:
I generally look for two things in new programs=3D20
or computer hardware. Is it an upgrade to=3D20
something I'm already familiar with (even a=3D20
hated, old adversary may be easier to deal with=3D20
than a complete stranger--just ask me about my=3D20
love/hate affair with my email program, Eudora!),=3D20
and is help widely available when I run into=3D20
trouble? OK, three things: does it do what I want?
So, if you're familiar with Elements Version 5,=3D20
why not give Version 8 a try (you can download it=3D20
from Adobe and try it free for a month). The=3D20
price on Adobe's site is $79 (there's a $20=3D20
rebate). And certainly check with Adobe to see=3D20
if they offer a reduced upgrade price for Version 8.

There are many, many (free) sources on the=3D20
Internet for help with Photoshop. I suspect far fewer for PSP! =3D20
